Male cat uti

Question
Hi,
I have a 2yr old male manx cat that has had blood in his urine for 2 months.  He has been to the vet and given antibiotics. He is fed Wellness wet food.  He does not seem to be in pain.    He does not seem to be straining to pee.  His appetite is fine.  His urine is not pink it is red.  I have read about apple cider vinegar but am unsure if this add to the acid in his urine or alkaline it.  I have considered d-mannose but I am not sure if this is an infection.  The antibiotics did nothing.  Any ideas?  He is my 13yo daughter's cat.  She is scared.  I can not afford more vet bills.
Thanks for your time

Answer
Hi Rhonda
Antibiotics are not always the solution, and are too often mis-prescribed.  Apple cider vinegar will balance the acid content of the system, making it more alkaline.  Although if it is something wrong with his kidneys or bladder, then you would need something else.  My suggestion is to contact Robert McDowell (animal herbalist) and explain the symptoms to him. He will be able to make up a blend for your cat:  www.herbal-treatments.com
I hope you find some further answers with Robert as he will have a much better indication of what to recommend here.
With thanks,
Silva.
