Answer
Hello -

Please schedule an appointment with your veterinarian as soon as possible. It sounds as though your pet may have had a stroke as a result of congestive heart failure.

Paralysis is common. Your veterinarian will run a few tests to be sure if the condition is correct. If she has CHF she will be put on a diuretic such as Lasix and other blood thinning and heart regulating drugs such as Digitox.

Given her age, this is a common illness. It is best to keep her comfortable at all times. You may put a few drops of Lavender oil on her favorite place to snuggle which will ensure her a more restful sleep.

After taking her to the vet ad CHF has been established you may supplement her diet with Hawthorne Berry. Hawthorne successfully destroys experimentally-induced blockade of anaerobic glycolysis, a condition that typifies some forms of heart disease cause by enzyme insufficiency. The effects of hawthorn and digitalis (Digitox) are synergistic, such that only half the normal dose of digitalis is required if hawthorn is also being used.

I hope this information has helped you and your pet.
