ACL tear in my 13 year old dog; alternaties for ACL surgery; alternatives to Remadyl

Question
My 13 year old aussie shepherd, cattle dog mix just tore her ACL. She is still
very active and doesn't act like a 13 year old dog, hence the injury. My question
is once the injury has healed will she be able to function without getting it
surgically repaired? Also, do you know if acupuncture would help?

YES, ACL surgery is always offered by most Vets.
They love to cut even into an elderly dog like yours.
Sometimes it is needed and there is no other choice.  
Other times, you have  ** options with natural supplements and anti-inflammatories.
