Natural treatment for possible feline fungal infection

Question
Hi.  We have been doctoring my 11 yr. old neutered well-vaccinated STRICTLY indoor long-haired yellow tabby kitty (named Taylor Ray)for over 5 months now.  Initially he was hospitalized w/a T4 level of 4.9, dehydration & substantial weight loss.  He started on thyroid meds. & IV fluids & his T4 went down however the med. worsened his already present anorexia.  The med. was discontinued & the T4 leveled out to a normal level on its own altho the anorexia continued.  Then his BUN went up slightly & we were concerned about RF but it went back down on its own as well.  One of his liver values was elevated but I was so upset I can't remember which one it was......  He has lost over 2 pounds in less 2 yrs..  He has had many many tests (but none of by a specialist yet!)but none of them actually show us anything.  He has anorexic spells where he will eat only a few tsps. of food a day but the next day he will HOG up to 10 tsps..  My vet had thought it could be bowel cancer since he had pretty  much ruled everything else out but the only definitive testing is a biopsy which, as you well know, is too invasive.  BUT he was just diagnosed w/a fungal infection on his ear flap & now I'm wondering if perhaps he could have some kind of a systemic fungal infection which could be retarding his sense of taste which may make him lose interest in food. About the same time my little kitty began to get ill I was being treated for oral thrush &, after many months, my sense of taste has only barely returned. Some days I can taste a little altho on other days I taste nothing.  Could this be happening to my little boy kitty?  I do hope you can offer me some suggestions--ANY thing you could tell me would be a blessing!  And one more thing--my little boy lives w/3 other indoor feline siblings who are, blessedly healthy.  I truly appreciate your time.  Thanks so much!  Terry

Hi Terry - Well, this boy has been through much!  You too!!!
Yes, your idea of possible Yeast and fungal sounds correct to me.  That is what I would have mentioned ...

Here are some supplements we can try on this cat boy...

For fungal and yeast let's try the following Nature's Sunshine Products:  All have a 30 day money Back guarantee:

Flora Force:-  This works Wonders!!!

Good for the Humans in the family, too!
( get rid of yeast! / great for allergies )

A Probiotic is a must - Flora Force - give 2 per day ----After a month he can go down to just 1 per day: ( open up and mix into some Wet cat food)  - If he likes low fat yogurt, you could mix this into that ,too.

Silver Shield: liquid -  another great products that I take myself each day -

Anti-Biotic ( Natural) and Anti-Fungal - good for everyone - Humans and Pets:

SILVER SHIELD (18 PPM) (4 FL OZ)  -  Give 1 teaspoon  ( 2 ) x per day for 1 month....
then,  just 1 teaspoon 1 x per day  ( for a few more weeks)

( keep this bottle "on hand" and out of sun or heat)
