Question
Hi Marie,
I volunteer for a local rescue group and am now fostering an 8 month old cat who came to us unable to pee and in pain. They did a procedure at the Emergency Clinic and he is fine now.. The vet told me to give him only wet food, watered down, and no dry food at all for the rest of his life. He is a wonderful friendly cat, apparently it doesn't happen so often in younger cats.
As he is up for adoption, I need to advise potential adopters, gently, of course, of his future needs, and want to know if watered down wet food is the correct advice.
Thanks so much...

Answer
Yes Sheryl,  No dry food ever for this kitty.  Needs as much fluid as possible.
Cats tend to not drink too often. It's a good idea to serve a wet food with 3-4 teaspoons of water mixed in.

Make sure they choose a good quality wet food such as:  Innova, Merrick, Evangers, Solid Gold or Life's Abundance:
Here is the link to Life's Abundance ....great food for dogs and cats:

The kitty needs as much water intake as possible to avoid stones and crystals.

Thanks for FOSTERING a rescued kitty!!!!

Blessings,
