fear,nerviousness and medicine

QUESTION: I have two 1 1/2 year old airedale terries, i rescued them.  the girl is a bit nervious about noises and new places...but within the "normal" range. the boy, he is in panic of everybody in my family except me.  he loves me and he is very loving and open with me but he behaves as if my kids and husband would mistreat him.  they do not. and my kids really want to play with him but if they get close to him, he pees, goes down really small on the ground, stop breathing,runs away, etc.  poor thing...we are working with him a lot on changing the behaivior and getting him to trust my family but my vet recommended to give him prozac, we tried for about 2 weeks and he got a lot worse!!!! we stopped it.  we will continue doing our work but I wonder if there is any other medicine that you would recommend.  thanks so much for your help!!! my family would be forever gratefull if Tango gets to play with them.

Ok, I have a few ideas for you kids.
This will help to take the Edge Off - and it is safe and natural....

Put Tango on some Stress J. Liquid  ( they also sell it in tablets, but the liquid will be easy - place it into his food 1-2 x per day)

About 1 teaspoon -  mix into some wet dog food or yogurt...
