MY DOG IS HAVING STOMACH PROBLEMS

Question
my husband and i just adopted a 3(almost 4)year old dog a little over a month ago.  we were told by the previous owner that she was housebroken and well behaved inside the home.  while that was true in the beginning(first 2 weeks), in the last couple of weeks she has suddenly started to have poop accidents in the home.  her poop is a mix of solid and loose waste.  we take her outside every day on a set schedule to pee and poo and she always does.  we have noticed that she has suddenly become picky with her food, sometimes not wanting to eat it at all(but still very interested in wanting to eat people foods which we do not give her....except for probiotic yogert).  we started to feed her ProPlan for sensitive stomachs(even before she had these stomach issues)and she would eat it heartily.  now she acts like she hates it and will turn her nose up at it or will eat very little of it....so we bought what we were told was a better quality food(Blue Buffalo)and have been mixing that with the ProPlan.  in the past week she will eat, but some days she will not eat much.  i heard her tummy make some grumbling noises last weekend and she then went 24 hours without eating or pooping.  since that day she has been eating well, but now is pooing in the house(and it is that loose and solid stool mix).  my husband and i have no idea what is going on with her or what we can do to correct the situation.  we bought the Blue Buffalo brand food because we thought it would be better for her digestive system and for her all around health.  i did mix more of the Blue Buffalo and less of the ProPlan(since she seems now to hate ProPlan)and that is when she started with this loose poop....but she has been eating some of the Blue Buffalo food now for 2 weeks now...so why the loose stool?  we have no idea if her problems need vet testing to find out why her poop is like this OR if she is just messing up her system because she has not wanted to eat the ProPlan food and so has been eating less than what she should?  please tell me if you think she needs to be tested for some sickness OR what we need to do to solve this digestive problem!  she will eat(especially the Blue brand food), so would she be sick?  any advice would be greatly appreciated!  thanks!

Answer
Oh Yes Ashley, your new dog needs to see the vet.  It could be a bacteria, fungus, virus or even gastritis.
Yes, have a vet do a little blood work and bring in a stool sample.
The Blue Buffalo is a good food.  This is much more than food.
I am sure the vet will be able to fix this kid up.

There are may options we can take if it is NOT a parasite.  YOU need to see the vet first to rule it out.  Contact my by my personal e-mail and let me know...
