Possibly pregnant???

I have an 8 month old female mini daschund who has just finished her first season.  I also have a male that is almost 4 months old... the breeder told us we wouldn't have to worry about the male with the females firt season as he'd be too young and he didn't seem to show any interest in her throughout her season. However, 2 weeks after her season finished, my female is starting to show signs of pregnancy, she is extrememly clingy, doesn't want to go out for walks and in hte past day or so, her mammary glands have started to swell so that I can feel the 'bump' around the teat.... could my little lad have 'done the deed' so young(his testicles have only just started to descend, but are still nowhere near down!) or is she just having a false pregnancy??? I have been unable to find any information that states the age a male becomes fertile and am going out of my mind with worry!

Males can start producing viable semen at a young age, 4 months is a bit young, but not unheard of.

It sounds more like a false pregnancy. All the signs, the weight gain, the milk, every thing is the same except the end result, puppies.
