heat post pregnancy

We have a 4 year old english bulldog that had puppies 7 weeks ago.  There has been a steady stream of discharge or afterbirth leaking from her since whelping, however her discharge has turned bright red and I would almost sware she is heat already.  Is this possible??

Hi. That is pretty soon. I'm not saying it's impossible, just not too likely. You said she's had a discharge for 7 weeks. I would definitely take her to the vet to figure out what'as going on with her. 7 weeks is a long time to be bleeding after whelping. Good luck!
