Question
i have a 7month old pit that got pregnant by a husky, will this affect her growth fully potential?

Answer
Hi Alex.  A lot of breeders have mixed thoughts on this subject.  Some breeders feel that it is ok, and has not effect on the females growth potential, to breed during the first heat.  Other breeders feel it is best to wait until the second heat.

Those of us, me included, feel that if you are going to breed your dog more than once or twice, then it is best to wait.  However, some people say that if you are only going to breed her once or twice, and then get her spayed, then breeding during the first heat cycle is ok.

Good luck, and please do not hesitate to contact me if you have additional questions.

Sincerely,
