false pregnancy or possible real

I have a beagle that had a short first heat around march 18th (maybe a week in total including the male going crazy for only a week) I have been told this was probably a false heat and she probably had her real one later. Now she is producing the first milk and has a slightly swollen belly. There were a about 3 weeks in the beginning of may that only my 6 year old was taking care of the dogs because I had surgery and my 4 year old. So I'm wondering if she really could be pregnant and I just missed the whole thing. Please help I'm feeling like a bad mommy to my dogs.

If your female had her first heat, she would be under a year right??  And no female should be bred that young.

Also, 3 weeks is too soon to be producing milk, that's either a false pregency or you miss counted.  If she kept herself clean, you may have missed it.
