Question
My aussie was bred 3 weeks ago.  Just this last week, she has started to pee in
the house,  something she has not done since puppyhood.  She has always been
so good about letting us know when she needed to go out and "do her
business".  Do you think this has anything to do with her pregnancy?  What can
we do about it besides the obvious more walks and so on?  Thanks, Liz

Answer
Hi Liz:

Yes, this is perfectly normal - at this stage of pregnancy, the puppies' sizes are developing very rapidly & will begin to press against her bladder. She may do a little better for a few weeks but obviously as the pregnancy progresses she'll need a lot more outside time. She'll be drinking a LOT as well as eating more. This is even more the case once whelping occurs & she's lactating. About all you can do is allow for more time outside & keep the paper towels handy!
