i have a toy yorkie , who is in season when will i know if she is ready to mate , is it between 9 and 14 days and what coluor will her bleed be ? debbie

Hi Debbie

Each female is different. To be certain, you can do progesterone testing to see when she will be ready.

A experienced male will also be able to tell you when she's ready. But  yes, often it's between days 9 and 15.  

Her blood may change to a light pink color.  She will flag (move her tail to the side) when her back end is touched.
