Blood in male shih-tzu urine ; shih tuz dog UTI ;

Hello, our male shih-tzu weighs about 10 lbs and he had blood in his urine.  What might possibly cause this and is there anything we can do until we can get into the vet?

Hi Riet, sorry your shih tzu is not feeling well.  It is a UTI or stones/ crystals -  so - a vet visit is in order for a urine culture and antibiotics.
You can give cranberry tablets for urinary health but this is After you clean the infection.
