Question
Hi, Maggie is a 7 year old female shih-tzu. She is very sweet and laid back. Well, on September 8, 2010 I rescued Milo, a one year old shih-tzu, male and neutered. He is a delight but incredibly hyper. He keeps on trying to bite Maggie while playing. Maggie is not a fighter, so she only feels safe on top of the sofa or chair. She is very unhappy since we got Milo. I have no idea what to do to curb his hyper personality. I heard that sculcap is a good natural remedy. Can you give me your input? Thank you so very much.

Hi Ana,  Well, you may want to give little Maggie her own " space " away from your Full of Engergy little boy!
She is much older and just doens't want to deal with puppy energy.  He will be like this for another 6-8 months.

Yes, I do like Valerian herbs for hyperactivity...

You can give this Natural herb every morning with some food:
Valerian
Valerian Root (Valeriana officinalis) 410 mg*
( give 1 of the 400 to 500 mg tablet per day)
I use Nature's Sunshine or the GNC ( gen nutrition center's ) Brands

Also, a great vitamin for both your Shih Tzu kids:

1 NuVET wafer per day - ( it's a treat wafer)
