shih tzu blood in urine;

Question
my 19 month old shih tzu weighs 10 lbs. she has been spaded i noticed some pinkish blood when she peed on her pad. what would be causing this? my vet is not in on weekends.

Hi Vicky, Sounds like it may be a urinary infection.  Just call the Vet for an appointment on Monday.  She may need some antibiotics.
Also, in the future, give daily Cranberry supplements and NuVET Supplements to keep the urinary problems from developing.
