breeding a shih tzu and a lhasa apso

i have a 3 1/2 yr. old male shih-tzu, and a 5 yr. old female lhasa apso. is it okay to mate them, or is she too old???

Mary, she can breed up to around 6 yrs old - But, please take them to the VET for some blood work.  Make sure they have no genetic problems... OK
