my maltese shizu isint playing

my Dog is not playful and he is not eating we have had him for 4 days and just lays around and sleeps all the time and doesnt play with his toys what can i do to get him active ?

If he has not eaten in 4 days he needs to be seen by the vet.  I would have taken him to the vet if he had not eaten within 24-48 hours.  This is not normal.  I hope he has at least had something to drink.  If not he is in serious shape he is dehydrating and going in to shock.  Please!! take him to the doctor.

It is normal for them to be a little apprehensive at first in their new home.  But, they should perk up and go to the food, etc. within a few hours.  This breed needs to eat and the mix of the two have the tendacy to be hypoglycemic so their sugar levels drop.  This can be dangerous and with him sleeping this tells me that their is a problem.  You will need to inform the person you purchased this puppy from as well of the situation.  Let me know how things go and what transpires.
