breeding days

I understand the dogs should be togeather the 7th-the 14th days. I would like to know how many times they should do it? Do I need to keep then togeather the whole 7 days?

Answer
No, you should only breed them every other day and if they tie you can safely not have to breed them more than just the one time that same day.  I usually will breed 3 times if a tie is made and I'm confident with my breeding pair.  They usually make it the first time around and all the rest is just back up...
Also, not all females drop or ovulate on day 7 some are earlier like day 5 and some are later on day 15 thru 17.  So, you will have to watch for your female to let you know when she is ready to breed she will flag and back up to the male, her blood will be lighter (straw colored) and also the male will definitely know when she is ready, but the female will NOT let him mount her under any circumstance if she is not prime for ovulation or conception.  If this is her first time however, it may just be inexperience so you will have to be a judge on it yourself, or have her tested by the vet to see if she is at peak.  In any case I wish you much success.
