Shih tzu feeding ; shih tzu vitamins;

Question
My male shih tzu is one year old.  He weighs 17lbs.Med frame.  I feed him Buffalo Blue dry food with some of Buffalo blue can food. I feed him twice a day 1/3 cup dry and 1 tablespoon of the can food in the a.m.  At supper he gets 1/2 cup dry and 1tab. can.My question is he has 4 and sometimes five bowel movements a day. Is this normal?  He also loves to chew rawhide bones.  Thanks

Hi Pauline, Please stop the rawhides... That may be one of the problems.
Also, I would stop the canned and just do the Blue Buffalo Dry food.
You can add 1/4 a teaspoon of salmon oil mixed into his food only 1 x per day.
You can try another food brand:  The Natural Balance Brand is very good.

I would also start your Shih Tzu onto the NuVet Vitamin...
Just 1 per day.
