newborn puppies

Hi, my Samantha just had her puppies this morning, she had 6 puppies and we are hoping that all the puppies survive, can you give me some tips..

Answer
Make sure that the puppies stay warm, away from drafts, are not handled by too many people, mom will do most of the work, Make sure that they are wiggle worms and eating often.  If you notice any that are not eating, breathing well, being pushed away, loosing body temp, then go to your vet.  Vet should see them within 3 days if you plan to remove dew claws.  Make sure mom is taking on fluids and eating well (give her chicken broth, rice, scrambled egg) Keep the bedding clean.
