Question
I purchased a male shih tzu from a pet store in Jan of '06.
We paid $446.00 for what was supposed to be a real shih tzu and what we have is a speckled, long legged dog that I love very much.  I am curious as to what exactly I might have on my hands.  I can e-mail you a pic of Joe, the dog in question, if you think that you may be of help.
His coloring and size are two strong indications that I have been lied to and I would like to report this business if I can prove that they sold me a dog that is not what they claimed him to be.

Answer
Were you given papers AKC or CKC saying that this dog was a purebred shih tzu with parents that were purebred shih tzu.  And I'd be more than happy to look at the photo.  And it will not just be the business because I'm sure they may not have been aware of what had happened but the breeder that you will have to go after in a lawsuit for improper practice, etc.
