Shih Tzu yeast infections; NuVet for shih Tzu

Question
I have a small (under 10 lbs) male shih tzu that developed a very bad yeast infection last July. He has lost most of the hair on his legs and all on his chest.  His skin is very crusty and he smells horrible, even after bathing.  I am tempted to shave him completely down.  Would this help get rid of the yeast infection?  I changed him to Nutro Natural Choice grain free limited ingredient fish meal and potato diet soon after he developed the yeast.

Answer
have your Vet do a skin scrape;  Also, see my link on Colloidal Silver for dogs:
Please see your Local Vet for a skin scrape test;  It's very low cost ;
Also, you may want to try the following for any open areas :          colloidal silver: http://www.bulldogvitamin.com/2012/08/canine-wound-healing-with-silver-httpen.ht
