Shih Tzu/Jackets?

My husband thinks it's absolutely ridiculous to put a coat on our Shih Tzu (who turned 1 yesterday). I heard somewhere that because they have hair and not fur they should wear something for warmth. We live in Boston. What do you think?

If you have her completely cut down than yes you should protect her from the elements when taking her outside she has no way to keep her body temperature controlled without hair.  Indoors she will be fine with being all natural.  Ask your hubby how he'd like to run around outside in Boston this time of year with a Bald Body..haha
