moles

Question
My 13 yrs old dog is getting these moles on his stomache that look like matted poop. I've been pulling them off thinking it was poop, But there is a pink patch of skin showing after I remove it. A few days later there is another one. Do shihz chu get moles or could it be a hot spot?

Hi Elaine:  Well, it could be warts, moles or scabs over a hot spot. sorry, I just don't know... You will need to have a vet take a look.  If it is warts, that needed a certain virus medication.
Moles, you keep and eye on color changes and possible growth.
Hot spots can be bacterial....

Just make a trip to the vet for diagnosis.
