QuestionHello,
My family and I just adopted a 10 mo. old Shih tzu named Peaches on Saturday, 5-8-10.
She belonged to an elderly lady that had to be put into a nursing home the Thursday before we adopted her. She is white and tan, 7 lbs. %26 13 ozs. Supper sweet! She has gone through a lot of changes in the past few days and she has become very attached to me. We are trying to crate train her for during the day when I have to leave for short periods of time. She seems to be ok sleeping in a covered crate beside our bed, but not any other time of the day. Do you have any suggestions that could help her?
Thank you!
AnswerHow about a laundry room or bathroom with a baby gate. She may like the larger space. Place her crate with the door open and place a baby gate at the doorway. ( she will have more space but not the entire house)
Play a radio when you go out.
Make sure you place a shirt that you just had on, into the bedding area. ( for your scent)
