My female staffy had puppies 2 days ago. She is VERY aggresive towards my male staffie, who then in turn is aggresive towards her.
I have had to seperate them from a fight, and have now moved the female and her pups into a secluded location in the yard
My question is will there aggrewsive behaviour continue until the puppies are all gone, in around 7 weeks or will they both calm down.

Hi Warren. This behavior may only last a few weeks. New moms are usually very protective of newborn pups. After about 3-4 weeks, mom usually settles down. Every mom and breed is different, so it's possible that she may stay protective of them and not want any other dogs around her pups. You can try again in a few weeks to see how mom and dad react together, but I wouldn't let him near her pups. I'd try on neutral ground, both on leashes. Good luck!
