Hello I was the one with the boston terrier and I recently asked about her heat being late and now it has came. Wondering if the stud should even try on the 5th day? Because the studs owners are passing though here. They live two hours away. They are going on a trip and passing though here and were going to stop but I think its a waste of time being that it would only be 5 days since she started... Whats the best day to meet the stud since he is so far? You told me about the strip tests but I dont know how to use them? The color should turn what? the brightest? Thank you.

Day 5 is a too early.  

Breeding only once is not going to guarantee you pups, especially if you are not doing progesterone testing.  If this is a breeding you really want, I would keep the male for at least a week, so that you can get them use to each other and guarantee a number of breedings.

The direction for the strips are on the box, you just have to follow the directions.
