bullmastiff in labour

hi i have the stud dog our friends have the dam she gave birth yesterday 3pups came out within 5 hours she laid and rested after that she asnt had anymore since 1.30 dinner time yesterday she seems ok but is quite big the vet said they have 2walls. and 1 wall may have emptied thats why shes resting then labour should start again its been 19hours now is this normal i think 3pups is a small litter for a bullmastiff

Hi. 19 hours is too long. My best advice here would be to get her to the vet, or find a different vet if he drags his heels on this. It is possible for any breed of dog to have a small litter like this, but I would have an x-ray done just to make sure that there are no more puppies. Good luck.
