Question
My dog is always scratching his ears. It looks like he has dry skin.  It is only on his ears they look ashy white. And he has always scratched them.  What could it be and what can I do for him.  He is approx. 3 years old.

Answer
Dry skin may be a problem that causes scratching, to make sure you should consult a Veterinarian. It could be any thing from food allergies, to enviromental allergies, or there may be another cause, like bathing to often. A vet consult will help determine the cause, through elimination of the possibilities; and then the proper treatment can be administered.
