Birthing Chihuahua puppies

Charlotte, someone dumped a poor little pregnant Chihuahua over my back fence. I'm a dog lover, so she now lives here.  Here's my question...she went into labor about 36 hours ago and delivered only one puppy.  Her stomach feels hard to me.  Is it conceivable that she only had one puppy?  Should I be concerned about her hard belly?  She's very animated and happy.  Doesn't appear to be having any health issues.  I've just never heard of a cat or dog delivering only one baby.  I'm not an expert...just love my animals.

I have heard of it, and one that came here pregnabnt had only 2 puppies, but the hard stomach bothers me.
I would call a Veterinarian.
You could also just rub her stomach gently, just in case there are some more in there, and she is taking her time.
Is she nursing the litle one?
I suppose it could be some will be born later.
I am told more than one male can father a litter, could she be carrying some more that need a few more hours in the oven?
I would call a Veterinarian just to be sure.
Is there an emergency clinic with a Veterinarian on call?
