QuestionMy neighbor keeps her 1-2 yr old dachshund in a tiny pet "taxi" for the 10
hours she is at work- without food or water. She appears irritated with the
dog due to her "spot-peeing" and makes her stay in her little "house" or only
on her pet bed never speaking to her in a decibel less of a yell. The dog
appears very timid and only wants to be pet, which her owner does not allow.
I feel the dog is deprived, dehydrated and depressed. I suggested getting her
(the dog) a larger pet crate with pee-pads and a small water dish - I only
offended her (the owner).
The lady does not like people poking their noses in her business and I am not
sure what to do without making a problem. Any suggestions?
Thank you for your time.
AnswerWell about the only next thing you can do,is to call your SPCA and have them talk to her about properly looking after a dog
Before that, you can try talking to her about it-but even just saying that dogs are members of the family and want to be a part of it,and they will become more and more timid, and may even become bitters if they don't spend enough time with people
