10 week old Pitbull Pup

Question

Ares
I have a few questions =]

Why does he keep chewing up his potty pad? I have supplied him with chew toys galore, he has his own bed. I bought the adhesive one's and the plastic protector that you can put the training pad in, and he still scratches it own and chews it up.

We have a 2 year old German Shepherd who we got at a year old. He was a "puller" when we walked him so we bought the choke chain with the metal pieces that poke their neck when they pull and it worked great, he pulled once and end of story. We bought one for our puppy and he just tries to walk backwards and get it off. How to we train him to walk?

How much is he suppose to weigh at 10 weeks? I took him in to the vet this morning and he was 19.7 lbs.

And last question. What is a SAFE and HEALTHY way to bulk him up and at what age should we start doing that?

Thank you for your time! I greatly appreciate it!

Answer
Well what you can do to get him to stop chewing the puppy pads, you can buy a product called 'bitter apple' and what it is is a spray that you can put on stuff you don't want him to chew, and it tastes bad so he will spit it out

What you can do to get him used to the collar is to just put it on him,but first just have him wear it while walking around in the house, then in the yard put his leash on and 'guide' him around with it

His weight seems normal and it all depends on how big he will get

The safest way to bulk him up is to first give him three small meals a day,and at dinner add some cottage cheese(about three spoon fulls)as that helps bones. Then slowly increase the amount then only feed twice a day
