7 year old Lab

My dog urinated on my couch twice today.  He is 7 years old and we have had him since he was 6 weeks old.  In that time he has never done this.  Does this sound like a behavioral thing or a health problem?  Thank you for your time.

Hi Kendra,

Many times, the first sign of a bladder or urinary tract infection is an accident in the home, from a dog that's been reliably house trained.

Before considering any behavioral issues, you have to have your dog examined by your vet to rule out a medical problem.
