schnauzer in heat

I have a 7 month old miniature schnauzer who is just at the tail end of her first heat. I have never had a dog in heat before as i have always spayed my dogs, however i want to breed this one. My question is; is it normal for her nipples to be somewhat swollen? if so how much swelling is normal and how long does this last/ thank you so much for you help

Hello, The nipples normaly get large and stick out tehy are also more thick looking maybe what your reffering to as swollen. I had my labrador reteriver go into heat twice... because I'll be honest I couldnt afford to spay her on her second cycle her teats were very swolloen you could feel lumps under her teats adn viasbly see them this wasnt normal I was sure so called the vet and took her in the vet said this wasnt normal but after she was spayed would go away she stated it could turn to cancer if she was left in heat so she was spayed a few days later.  Might be a god idea to check into yuor vets just incase.
