Question
I lost my male japanese chin 3 wks ago and still have his
darling sister-----(she weighs 7 lbs.)
My husband bought me a female pug (4 mos. and 7 lbs) and the pup is very aggresive with my little chin----what can I do? I know pups are active--would just like to know how
to handle both of them.

Thanks,

Judy

Answer
Hi Judy,
I'm so sorry to hear that you lost your little Chin. I just love that breed!  I've never owned one, but maybe some day I will.
I'm not sure what you can do other than watching them closely.  These two breeds are so different! You can't expect a very active pug to be like a calm, sweet chin...it just isn't going to happen.  If you're afraid that the pug will harm your chin by playing too rough, then you may want to separate them when you are not home.  When you are home, you may need to referee.  Pugs are so adorable, but they can be quite a handful.  The good news is that the pug will calm down somewhat when she is older.  Until then... have fun!

God Bless,
Becky
