Question
I have five medium-sized mutts-3 males and 2 females. About 2 weeks ago, the "omega of the pack", (Shadow) ran away. The other day, he returned with around 6 or 7 other dogs-strays. I ran outside, expecting him to run right to me. Instead, he and the other dogs ran right into my yard and savagely attacked the "leader"! I chased them all away and rushed Bear to the animal hospital-it was too late. I would like to know what caused them to behave like this. I couldn't believe Shadow would do something like that.

Answer
HI DERRICK
A PACK OF DOGS TURN WILD IN A HEART BEAT, THIS IS SO SAD FOR YOUR PET.
HE HAD A WILD INSTINCT BEING A MUTT AS U SAY AND TOOK OF, THEY ROAM AND GATHER UP A  PACK AND WANTED RID OF SHADOW, SO HE STRUTS HOME AND KILLS HIM.
THIS IS BAD AND HOPE YOU TURNED THEM INTO THE HUMANE SOCIETY FOR PICKUP FOR THEY WILL KILL AGAIN.  DO NOT KEEP THIS DOG AS A PET, HE HAS WILD INSTINCTS WORSE NOW THAN EVER.
REMEMBER DOGS ARE PAC ANIMALS AND CAN TURN BACK QUICKLY IF LIFT LOOSE, IT DOES NOT TAKE MUCH TIME FOR THEM TO LEARN TO KILL FOR FOOD AND THEY LOVE THE WILD DOG DAYS OF FREEDOM.
