my 8 yr lhasa apso can't use his back legs for 1 week now. was 1st treated for tick paralysis w/ tetracyclin, now on prednisone & furosemide for possible disc location.  how long before he can walk or your suggestion on what to do?

Hi there,

The treatment of tick paralysis varies from case to case. One case can be very different from the next depending on which organ systems are mostly effected. Each case must be assessed to see what is the main effect of the tick in this particular case. This can only be determined by your Veterinarian.

I'm sure your vet would be more than willing to discuss your dog's case, and offer a prognosis.
