bump on dog

Hi there. I have a shih tzu, he got groomed Sat. Today, I noticed a bump (bubbly looking with red inside it) located near his bottom (backside)? I was wondering what possibly could it be? He feels fine, he is playful and all. Someone told me to put hemroid cream on it to see if it helps? I am not sure what to do. I never seen it before on him ever on any occasion. Thanks a lot.

Hi, without actually seeing the bump, it is hard to say what it could be.  If it is getting redder, bigger or harder, then I would take him into the vet and have it checked out to make sure he hasn't gotten an abcess or something.  Wish I could be of more help, but without being able to see it, it's hard to say what it could be.
