How many dogs can chihuahuas have in their lifetime, and at one time.

Well, thats hard to answer...they shouldn't be bred until age 2. They come into heat 2 times per year and an average litter is 1-3 pups. You certainly wouldn't want to bred her with each heat cycle and you wouldn't want her to have pups in her later years. I don't think you should bred a dog more then 3-4 times in her lifetime.
