i have a pug and she had her first heat in feb but hasnt had one since is this normal mrs pickering

No, this is not normal for most dogs, as most bitches cycle approximately every six months. It is possible that she had a "silent heat", in that she actually did cycle but didn't have any noticeable discharge and so you missed it (and some bitches are *really* clean about themselves), but I would be tempted to take her in and have a thyroid test run on her to be sure that her thyroid level is normal. This is a simple thing and could prevent real health issues down the line due to a malfunctioning thyroid so it is best to catch it early on.

Stress can also throw off a heat cycle.
