Pomeranian digging in beds and clothes

Question
Charlie my Pomeranian on my bed
Charlie my Pomeranian
I have a Pomeranian who loves to dig in his Dog beds, but he`ll also dig up the blankets on my bed- this created a fight with my other Pomeranian who snaps at him when ever he does it- and also clothes left on the floor. Why is this?

Answer
Hi,
Some dogs seem to have more instincts than others.  Some smaller animals (like dogs and fox) dig in their dens and beds to insure there are no snakes or other dangerous animals around.  They also dig for warmth, coolness, and comfort.  If you want to break this action, just tell him "NO" and place him on the floor.  Do this each time he starts to dig and he will learn that if he wants to stay on the bed, he mustn't dig.
