My dog has a problem

Question
I have a 7 yr old German Shepard cross. Early last night after she had dinner she started coughing repeatedly and it was like she was choking she has trouble breathing when this is happening. She is also vomiting up a white liquid. We dont know if it something she has eaten or picked up. I have checked over for a tick as she has had one before but i couldn't find one. I would just like your opinion, if you can.

Hi Kristy,  I'm sorry I couldn't get back to you sooner.  I hope your dog is doing better.  You might want to start soaking her food in warm water as she might have been having an incident of bloat which is very common in GSDs.  This will normally occur right after eating and they will throw up to try and resolve it.  To prevent this from happening, it is safer to soak a dog's food in warm water so that it doesn't just bulk up in their stomach and cause the bloat.  Bloat can kill a dog fairly quickly if it doesn't get resolved either by the dog or by a vet.  Hope this helps,
