Question
My mom and I were having an arguement. Well a silly arguement on whether dogs have knees or not? So Im asking...do dogs have knees like humans, elephants and penguins?

Answer
Hi Lyndsey,

Dogs do have knees, they're also called its "stifle". At the following website, the knee joint is illustrated within the circled area:

I think any animal with a leg would have a knee joint, since the knee is the joint connecting the femur and the tibia.

I hope I've been a help!
