Question

Erins Ear 2
I had my dog groomed two days ago at the only groomer we have ever used and we love them. Last night I noticed this growth under her ear flap so to speak, it is flesh color and I can see a small blood vessel in it. It is cone shaped and is firmly attached to her almost like a large blister but more solid. I put the same picture I am attaching up on facebook to see if anyone has ever seen anything like it and a few people suggested a tick. I have never seen on before so I have no clue. Could this be something caused or contracted from her groomers? Do you have any ideas on what it could be?

Answer
It is hard to see exactly the definition of this by a picture which is of course flat.  But it looks like a growth to me.   How old is your dog,  they do start to get growths almost at any age.  it doesn't look like a tick  and a groomer cannot cause a growth.

PS to be sure it is not serious you could have a vet check it out with a biopsy...As I say it is hard to judge from a picture...PS ticks are usually grey.
