Question
Hi Cindi,
I got Aa male 2 year old male boxer a year ago.He spends most of his time in the house. He pull's on the lead and has to sniff everything.
The problem is we have a new baby and is trying very hard to sniff him, being very ruff by jumping etc.
I'm terrifed he'll hurt the baby.We put him outside put he just bang's on the window the whole Day.
Would he be safe?
Please Help.
Thks,
Tony

Answer
Walk your dog. Get a halti, it's a wonderful training aid. Power walk him forty five minutes every day no matter what. Make sure he gets LOTS of exercise. Play fetch with him until he is exhausted, tonuge hanging out and THEN introduce him to your baby. Have him lie down or sit. And you sit in the chair and allow him to sniff your baby until he is used to the smell. If he has not been trained get him into a basic obedience course NOW. Get him toys, smart toys and kongs stuffed with treats that require his mind and his teeth to work. Set up toys in the back yard, a tether ball on a pole is GREAT. Boxers are high energy working dogs and he needs to WORK, play and have a job.
Type alpha boot camp into your webbrowser and implement the methods of establishing pack order in your home. Don't delay do it today!
Good luck
