basket muzzle

I read your answer in regards to using a basket on Boston Terriers. I have 2 females that are having sibling rivalry. I need to find basket muzzles that are small enough for them before I can walk them together. Something my behavioralist recommended for the future. Can you tell me where I can find them?

Hi Beth,

It's very common to have aggression issues between female dogs, even if the dogs are related, and have been spayed.

You are correct, I often recommend a Basket style muzzle, that style of muzzle is not meant to be used by flat faced dogs.  Flat faced dogs, such as your Boston Terriers require a special style of muzzle. They should only use a mesh muzzle, as seen here:

The other option is to walk your dogs separately, until you can get control over their issues.
