dog paralysis

my golden retriever is suddenly paralyzed in the hind end. the vet took xrays, which didnt give a definitive cause. he is almost 2 yrs. old. they think it may be a pinched nerve or something w/the back. any thoughts?

Hi Liza,

I wonder what your vet has suggested?  Undoubtedly he's on prednisone, muscle relaxers, and/or pain relievers.  The dog will probably show improvement, but it won't be "fixing" anything.  

I'd recommend you find an animal chiropractor as quickly as you can.  Ask around for a referral, or go to www.avcadoctors.com for a certified doctor in your area.
