My dog lexi

QUESTION: hi there, i've read your "no medical question" and so forth, i'm not sure if you are able to answer my question. I'm really only looking for opinions. I have two dogs, Storm - a pure bred bull terrier, and Lexi - a bull terrier cross. My question is related to Lexi, she has the shape of a bull terrier (except her head isnt quite as big) and the coat of a doberman/rottie. I've seen both of her parents and there was no chance of a 2nd dad involved, Her mom was a purebred brindle bullie and although her dad looked like a bullie he seemed to have maybe some staffie in him - or something along those bloodlines. My question is, her coat isnt regularly seen in bullies, i've searched the net and only found 2 bullies that look just like her but have found many American Pit Bull Terriers breeder sites that have her exact coat as well. Which dog, in your opinion, was used to get that coat, i know it isnt a popular one, do you think she could have pit bull in her or is that coat from the staffie side?I know its hard to tell with out a photo but basically she looks just like a bull terrier but with the coat of a rottie? Please let me know if you would like me to send you some pictures, i have tons.

ANSWER: Do you mean the rottie coloring,or coat type?  Probably if you send a picture to me it would help

But yes it is possible that she has American pit bull/Staffie somewhere in her,if you are talking more of the coat length usually pitbulls/staffies have a VERY short,fine sleek coat,shorrter then a rottie's coat

But if you are talking about the colour that too is unusual in pitbulls ect but I have seen pitbull/rottie crosses and if you send me a pic,I'll let you know what I think your dog might be

the second link is something i found a while ago explaining the coat in American Pit Bulls, nothing about rotties. Her coat is very short,not long at all. thank you agian for your input.

Well after looking at both of the pictures,I think it is fair to say she probably does have some pitbull mixed into her,at first she looked a bit like a Doberman as well,but her legs aren't as long as a Doberman's

I have seen a few pitbull type dogs with this colouring but it is pretty rare

So in my opinoin,yes she probably does have pitbull in her
