my dog wont eat hard food

My 5 year old shepard/newfie mix stopped eating his hard dog food a couple of days ago. He won't eat his biscuits either. He will eat soft food. He doesn't have bad breath. He's acts normal. He has a slight nasal discharge. His nose is also dry and feels hard. If that makes any sense. He doesn't appear to be in any pain. He doesn't rub his face or drool excessively. Please steer me in the right direction. Thank you

Have you ever had a dental check on your dog? If they have a loose tooth or an infected tooth they will not chew anything hard. If he has a cold then he may not be able to smell his hard food, if they can't smell it they might not eat it. He may need antibiotics for a sinus infection. Hope this helped, Angela
